We are all joined together by food.  But these days so many people don’t know what food is, where it comes from or what to do with “real” food when they find it. Our food, and our disconnection from it, is slowly killing us. Our overall health and wellness, as well as that of our planet, is at stake.

I’m not sure exactly when my odyssey began, but I’m glad I embarked on my adventure and know that wherever this journey is taking me I’ll come to better understand all the ways in which we are connected to, and disconnected from our food. Whether it is government deception, politics and Big Food that are quickly bringing us to our knees, or the rise of the farm to table movement and an increased awareness of the importance of sustainable farming practices my journey is fraught with adventure at every turn.

But a food odyssey is not just about politics and grass roots movements. It’s also about resourcing, sampling and cooking. It’s about hospitality and human civility; sharing and finding strength. It’s man together with nature and a dream to save our home by returning to our roots.   So come, follow me, and we’ll discover our world of food, together.
